UnlessUltimate edition is on sale for cheaper than gold edition, there isn’t much reason to choose it. Totally agree. Gold is value for money. With ultimate you get some cosmetic armour and I think you get the Assassins Creed 3, but I don't believe it's worth the extra cash. AC3 comes with Gold edition too.
Assassins Creed Odyssey. Normally I would buy the standard edition then purchase the season pass later when one or two of the expansions had been released and said pass had been discounted in a sale. However, I enjoyed Origins so much that I decided to just buy the Gold edition instead and get to play the game a few days earlier
