Just kidding. I don't have Kinect for Xbox 360, but I got the Xbox 1 Day 1 edition console with Kinect. Xbox 1's Kinect has a higher resolution and can read QR codes and has better voice recepters and I think it's slimmer too. To video chat on Xbox 1 console, you need Kinect and the Skype app. Also the xbox one originally got some criticism because enabling kinect for it actually consumed a surprising amount of computing resources. Overall, Kinect had always been a red headed step child for Microsoft. It saw rather limited adoption for games amongst the developers, amongst customers and Microsoft pretty much abandoned its concept
The kinect sensor has a non standard connector which LOOKS like usb. The power adapter connects to this and then converts to usb. Kinects that CAME with a slim xbox do not require - or come with the power supply - which makes them useless for PC hackery until microsoft supply the power adapter seperately.
